Hi, this is Suretech Water Treatment Technical Support with a video explaining the procedure for changing the 3M water filter in your Suncor location.
It is best practice to change your water filter during off-hours or non-peak times to avoid any delay to service.
There are two main setups for water filters in Suncor locations. We will go over both in this video.
The first system is most often found in the backroom. This system is very simple to use. We will first go over the controls on the system.
Here, we have the shutoff for the water inlet, On the other side is the shutoff for the water outlet.
The yellow button is the cartridge release latch.
We will start by shutting both the water inlet and the water outlet. After placing a mop pail or bucket underneath the syste m, we can remove our old filter cartridges by depressing the yellow filter release latch, and turning the cartridge counter clockwise a quarter turn. The filter will remove downwards, with some residual water remaining.
We can now install our new filter. After removing the sanitary packing and cap, we can insert our new filter into the head, aligning the knubs on the filter with the corresponding grooves in the head. A quarter turn clockwise will lock the filter in position.
We can now turn the water back on. We will return to, and slowly open, our water inlet shutoff. As well as our water outlet shutoff. Our new filter is now in service.
We will clean and dry the area, and add a label to signify the date of filter change and next filter de date.
Our next system is often found underneath the counters in the front, generally around your brewer area. It may however be found in the backroom.
This system is very simple to use. Within the head are the controls to shut the water off as the filter is being removed.
Begin by placing a bucket or mop pail underneath the system to catch any water. In order to change this filter, we will simply remove the old one by turning counter clockwise and removing downwards. A small amount of residual water will drip as the filter is removed.
We can then install our new filter by aligning the knubs on the filter with the corresponding grooves in the head. A quarter turn clockwise will both lock the filter in position and turn the water back on. Our new filter is now in service. We will clean and dry the area and add a label to signify the date of change.
